ARRIVAL AND SECURITY INFORMATION FOR CLASSIC IBIZA BLICKLING

We’re Covid-stylin’!

We are extremely grateful to Norfolk Council, the amazing National Trust team at Blickling Estate and our suppliers for working with us and helping us to stage Classic Ibiza in 2021.  Below are the details and we will need your help and understanding to make them happen. Please can you share our plans with everyone in your party.

Do not attend the concert if:

  • within the 10 days prior to the concert, you have tested positive for Covid-19, have had contact with a known or suspected Covid-19 case, or you have been told to self-isolate
  • you are experiencing any known Covid-19 symptoms, currently as follows: a high temperature; a new, continuous cough; a loss of, or change to, your sense of smell or taste.

 

Headline measures

  • Dance zone [UPDATED]: due to a relaxation of Government measures, we have been able to reinstate the dance zone near the front of the stage for those of you that want to get closer to our amazing performers. In combination with our social spaces (see below), this means that you are getting the best of both worlds!
  • Social spaces and picnic zones [UPDATED]: due to overwhelmingly positive audience feedback, the picnic area will be divided into 3x3m “social spaces.” Each space can accommodate up to 6 people. If your group is larger than 6, you can choose adjacent spaces for all your party. If your group is smaller than 6, you will have lots of space! If you are concerned about social distancing, we recommend choosing a space on the side or towards the rear of the concert site. Each social space will be in clearly marked colour coded zones, the arena will be lit with festoon lighting and there will be clear walkways between each colour coded zone. This means that you will be able to find your party more easily during the evening and set up your own mini dance floor! What’s to lose?
  • Testing (if over 11 years old) [UPDATED]: you can now show your NHS COVID Pass to gain entry to the concert. If you do not yet have an NHS COVID Pass, proof of a negative Lateral Flow Test (taken in the last 24 hours) will still be required via a confirmation text message, email or on your NHS App. Instructions of how to do your test and how to report your result are included in each self-test kit. Once you have reported your negative test to the Government website you will receive a text message, email or NHS App notification shortly. Lateral flow tests are available free of charge from your local pharmacy, or can be ordered online here
  • Track and trace: if you are the lead booker, we already have your contact details. You and your party will also be asked to check in using the NHS COVID-19 app at various points around the site
  • Facemasks: you may choose to wear a facemask as you arrive, stand in queues and leave the concert site.

 

At the ticket gate

Your tickets will be checked on foot once you have either parked your car or been dropped off by your taxi. We recommend that you maintain social distancing at all times at the ticket gates and there will be a system in place to help you do this.

 

Ticket gate process:

  • Display: your NHS COVID Pass or negative Lateral Flow Test (if over 11 years old) via a confirmation text message, email or on the NHS App
  • Bag check: you are reminded not to bring any prohibitive items and adhere to our alcohol restrictions. There will be a fast-track lane for people without picnics
  • Search dogs: anyone attempting to enter the site with illegal substances will be refused entry
  • Ticket check: please have your tickets ready as a print-out or on your phone. Your tickets will be checked on foot once you have left your vehicle and on entry to the concert site. These have a unique bar code which will be read by our scanners.

 

The concert site

  • Walkways: the site will also have a number of clearly marked walkways to access the on-site amenities. Please help our stewards to keep them clear at all times.

 

Toilets, sanitation and litter

  • Hand sanitiser stations: there will be hand sanitiser stations across the site and at each queue point. Please make use of these frequently throughout the evening, including before and after visiting the toilets
  • Toilets: we’ve doubled the number of toilets this year, which will be constantly cleaned throughout the evening. A socially distanced queuing system will be in place with stewards there to help you
  • Litter: it’s especially important this year that you clean up after yourself. You will be provided with a litter bag at the gate and will be asked to take the contents home to recycle.

 

Card payment

While all our onsite vendors are able to accept card payment, we recommend that you bring an amount of cash in case there are any unforeseen problems.

 

Coach travel

We recommend that you hand sanitise before boarding and you may choose to wear a facemask and socially distance at all times.

Weather

Please keep an eye on the weather forecast for Saturday 7th August and come prepared for the conditions. 

  • Saturday 7 August - Concert day: We have had more rain this morning, so be prepared for wet ground conditions by wearing appropriate footwear. The good news is that the weather is looking better this evening, but it's always best to pack a waterproof coat just in case. See you all later!
  • Friday 6 August - Site build: We have had a great deal of rain this afternoon but we have all survived and the ground is bearing up well!  The worst of the weather has gone through for the day and although there will be showers tomorrow the evening is looking fine and dry - whoop!  We will update in the morning. Looking forward to seeing you all!

 

 

Timings

Please note that times might be subject to change:

  • 17.30: Car parks and gates open (please note change of time to allow for additional checks)
  • 18.30: ‘Chill-out DJ set’
  • 20.00: ‘Sundowner set’
  • 21.00: ‘House DJ set’ (last entry)
  • 21.30: ‘Dance set’ and laser light show
  • 22.50: Concert finishes

 

Getting to Blickling

Parking is free for this event within the parkland at Blickling.

Classic Ibiza Blickling is clearly sign posted from all routes. Look out for the yellow AA signs as you get closer to the event which state “Classic Ibiza”.

There are two entrances into the estate:

  • Gate 1 – Old School Gates – NR11 6NJ (public cars and coaches)
  • Gate 2 – Park Gates – NR11 6NF (Taxis, pickup and drop offs)

If you have a taxi dropping you off or collecting you. Please give the following instruction:

  • Please give your taxi driver the following postcode – NR11 6NF for Park Gates
  • Your pick and drop off point will be within the park.  Please do not allow your taxi driver to drop you off or pick you up on the surrounding roads. The route for taxis will be clearly sign posted and they will have their own exit route from the park
  • Please advise any taxis picking up after the concert to be back on site before 10.40 pm at the latest to avoid any delays with exiting traffic
  • Your taxi will be directed to a numbered row to help you find it at the end of the night
  • Please make sure that you book your taxi before you arrive at Blickling as availability will be very limited on the night of the concert.

Packing Your Picnics

Please can we remind you of prohibited items as follows:

  • Animals (with the exception of assistance dogs)
  • Professional camera equipment
  • No smoking allowed on the concert site due to extreme dry conditions
  • Naked flames – flaming torches, barbecues or candles
  • Fireworks, sparklers or Chinese lanterns
  • Domestic knives only will be permitted on the concert site and these will be limited to 5 inches or under and folding knives with a 3-inch blade or under
  • Illegal drugs. Revival Productions have a zero tolerance drugs policy. Specialist search dogs will be in operation at the ticket checkpoints
  • You will be allowed to bring your own alcohol but there will be restrictions per person. As a guide we would recommend a maximum quantity of the equivalent of a bottle of wine per person or 4 cans of beer. No neat spirits will be permitted on site. Please drink responsibly
  • No food and drink will be allowed in the dance area – please leave all food and drink within your picnic area
  • You will be issued with a litter bag as you enter the concert site. We ask that you help us to reduce waste and take your litter home with you and recycle as much as you can.

 

Security Information

Classic Ibiza is considered a low risk event. However, your safety is very important to us and we would appreciate your cooperation in helping us to make the evening not only incredibly enjoyable but also safe. There will be additional security measures in place on the day:

  • Our door supervisors will be carrying out bag checks as you enter the concert site which will include pat-downs and metal detection wands and will cause inevitable delays We encourage you to travel as light as possible
  • There will be random customer checks
  • Specialist search dogs will be in operation throughout the bag search process
  • You may like to consider taking advantage of the excellent street food vendors and the Classic Ibiza Bar on the concert site and travel extra light!
  • The concert site is strictly out of bounds for any vehicle. Please, under no circumstance attempt to drive your car onto the concert site before or after the concert.
