CLASSIC IBIZA CHARMS CHATSWORTH WITH PERFECTLY ORCHESTRATED EUPHORIA
We returned to the stunning, sun-drenched grounds of Chatsworth last Saturday, 11 July, delighting thousands of partygoers with an evening of perfectly orchestrated euphoria. Performing more tracks than ever in our 11-year history, the 45-piece Urban Soul Orchestra, conducted by Stephen Hussey, led the Derbyshire audience on a five-and-a-half-hour celebration of the very-best in Balearic-infused dance music.
And going by the reaction on our social media channels, the show was a real hit with those that attended. Catherine M. commented: “The best night, we will be the first in the queue for next year's tickets again. DJ Meera, Urban Soul Orchestra, London Community Gospel Choir, Steven Hussey, Goldierocks and all that make the night at Chatsworth House so amazing you were awesome as always.” Laura H. said: “Such a great atmosphere - we will definitely be back next year!” Jocelyn M. added: “Our second year running and we had great night again, brilliant atmosphere for all ages!”
Classic Ibiza debutant DJ Meera kicked-off proceedings at 5.30pm, before being joined by members of Urban Soul Orchestra for the new Chill-Out Set. Settling into the family-friendly vibe over their picnics, the crowd shimmied to a perfect blend of laid-back classics, including from Groove Armada, Massive Attack and The Orb.
Urban Soul Orchestra, DJ Goldierocks and London Community Gospel Choir then took centre stage for the Ghost Ship Sundowner Set, with the BPM taking a noticeable uptick. New orchestral interpretations of Eple by Röyksopp and Release The Pressure by Leftfield opened the set, which also included firm Classic Ibiza favourites from the likes of Goldie, Adamski and Fatboy Slim.
Classic Ibiza’s very-own DJ Goldierocks then took control of the decks for her Deep House Set, setting the scene for the evening’s main event. At 9.30pm she was rejoined on stage by Urban Soul Orchestra and London Community Gospel Choir for the Dance Set, a high-octane mix of house classics, with fresh reinventions of Todd Terry’s Something Goin’ On and Dennis Ferrer’s Hey Hey, joining perennial floor-fillers from The Prodigy, Faithless, Gala and many more. All accompanied by a spectacular laser and light show, the concert reached a rapturous climax at 11pm.
Sponsored by Adnams Ghost Ship, we are proud to support Chatsworth House Trust and Ashgate Hospice. To be the first to hear about Classic Ibiza’s ‘27 tour dates sign-up here.
